With the implementation of the drugstore concept in Brazil, pharmacies have increased their role in commerce, providing a greater aggregate value to its commercial activity.

The specific law that regulates pharmaceutical companies in Brazil is the Law nº 5.991/73, nevertheless these companies are also regulated through decrees, resolutions and normative instructions issued by all the agencies and organs that regulate this areas. With this vast legislation to be consulted it is extremely important for the companies to have a specialized and effective counseling.

Due to the creation of a National Agency for Sanitary Monitoring - ANVISA, the pharmaceutical sector began to be regulated in a federal scope, although not ceasing to be monitored by the States and Cities sanitary agencies. Among these organs there are also the Federal Pharmacy Counsel and the Regional Pharmacy Counsels which can regulate pharmaceutical activities within its sphere of competence. Needless to say, that an effective defense against the regulations issued by all these organs is vital to for the health of the pharmaceutical businesses.
